Emergency response teams will face some challenges unique to Marion County with the Lake Red Rock Hydroelectric Dam Project, and say they need people from area communities to help when emergencies happen. Marion County Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson says it’s important for those who call 911 to be descriptive as possible when emergencies are spotted near the lake. Pella Administrative Services Manager Marcia Slycord says the extra information will help Pella, Knoxville, and Marion County determine what services are dispatched to a scene.
