A day later and 18 strokes lighter, the Central men’s golf team climbed two spots higher in the team standings to finish runners-up at the Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Invitational yesterday. Central shot a 289 on the final day of the tournament to surpass a pair of nationally ranked teams. The Dutch wound up just 15 strokes behind the winner, Bethel University. Luther was 12th overall with a score of 644 for the tourney. Desmond Stoll carded a 147 to finish tied for third individually, with teammate Clay Curwin not too far behind with a score of 152.
