Five runners finished in the top ten, and the highly-ranked Central men’s cross country team blew by the competition at their home invitational on Saturday. Sophomore Isaac Steffensmeier placed first, edging out teammate Cole Decker. Drew Jackson was fifth, Jamie Vander Veer was seventh, and Eli Horton came in tenth. Central’s women were ninth overall as a team. Both squads are off for two weeks until the Gil Dodds Invitational at Wheaton, Illinois on September 20.
