Central’s soccer teams came away from Nebraska Wesleyan tired, but rewarded for strong play in a pair of double overtime games on Tuesday. Dutch women’s freshman, Kallie Holte found the back of the net for the first time of her career with only 41 seconds left to tie the game at 1 – 1, which is where the game would end after two extra periods. Dennis Forrest, with an assist from Salvador Villanueva, gave the Dutch men a victory 26 seconds into double OT over Wesleyan, 1 – 0. The Central women are now 3 – 2 – 2 overall, the men improve to 2 – 4; the Dutch men come home for a big stretch of games starting this Friday against Wisconsin – Whitewater, and the women are home for a test against Westminster on Saturday.
