Securing their first conference win in as many tries last Tuesday, the Pella Christian volleyball team will try to make it two-for-two tonight at Oskaloosa High School. The Eagles had a rough go of it on Saturday against much bigger schools, and came up empty in four matches to fall to 5 – 8 on the season. Oskaloosa was at the Southeast Polk tournament on Saturday and won one of four and enter with a mark of 4 – 11. Coach Cindy Nikkel says the Osky crowd can be rambunctious, so she hopes her girls feed off of that energy. Nikkel adds if her girls can play with consistency and confidence tonight, they should come away with a win. The JV contest comes first at 5:30 p.m. with the varsity match to follow at 7:15.
