The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce will soon be on the move.

The Chamber is moving from their Main Street location into the Dixie Gebhardt House just west of the Knoxville Public Library. The library owns the Gebhardt House and the Chamber will be renting from them.

Chairman of the Library Board of Trustees Dave Garcia says they’re super excited about the move. Garcia believes the historical house will be an excellent place for visitors to first get a taste of Knoxville. Dixie Gebhardt was a Knoxville native who’s responsible for designing the Iowa State Flag.

Chamber officials believe they will better serve their members and the community at large as a local hub for consumer and tourism information and businesses resources.

The Chamber is initiating a soft move and will be officially take over the Gebhardt House on October 1st.
