Michael Lee Liggett
A hearing date was set for a Monroe man involved in a deadly crash last month.

32-year-old Michael Lee Liggett was arraigned Friday after entering a written plea of not guilty to charges of Homicide by Vehicle While Operating Under the Influence and Operating Under the Influence – 3rd Offense.

Authorities allege that Liggett was operating a 2003 Frontier pickup when he ran into motorcyclist Clayton Bennett Harsin of Knoxville at the intersection of Highway 14 and G-44. Harsin was pronounced dead at the scene. Liggett then allegedly fled the scene and was arrested some time later at his home.

His hearing date is set for November 7th.
