A groundbreaking ceremony will take place Monday at the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics.

CEO Kevin Kincaid will operate a jackhammer at the event, dubbed “Jackhammers, Hard Hats, and Wine”. It will help open construction that’s expected to begin at the hospital next month, with major work on the new clinic and physical therapy buildings. In addition, renovations to the inpatient rooms, emergency, and surgical departments will also begin. Construction work is expected to be completed within 18 months.

The groundbreaking ceremony will be in the south parking lot of Knoxville Hospital beginning at 3pm.
