Big plays and costly turnovers sent Knoxville reeling 51-28 to Carlisle in their district opener. Knoxville Head Coach Eric Kellar says it’s no time to make excuses. Senior running back Tanner Dunkin used his speed to keep the Panthers in the game early, scoring on his first two carries of the game for a total of 110 yards. Dunkin would finish with 150 yards and three touchdowns on the evening. The Wildcats scored 23 consecutive points through the second and third quarters, capitalizing on three Knoxville turnovers and three offensive plays of 52 yards or greater. Knoxville will take on undefeated district foe Pella on the road next Friday.
