An Knoxville man has changed his plea in an assault case.

54-year-old Danny Lee Shaffer has pled guilty to charges of assault without intent to injure, a Class-D felony, assault causing bodily harm, and harassment.

Court papers indicate Shaffer was involved in a fight with the victim and the victim’s girlfriend at a residence on South Lincoln Street in Knoxville back in late March. Shaffer allegedly began assaulting the victim’s girlfriend and when the victim tried get to Shaffer away from the person he was hitting, Shaffer pushed him, causing him to break his forearm.

Shaffer is scheduled to be sentenced today at 1:30pm.
