Marion County Public Health was on display last week when they received a compliance visit from the Center For Disease Control and Prevention and the Iowa Department Of Public Health.

Public Health Director Kim Dorn says the visit was to show the CDC how their coalition of health facilities worked compared to others in the state, most of which are multi-county coalitions. Dorn also told the CDC about how the community works together in their planning efforts.

The visit allowed the Iowa Department of Public Health a chance to showcase Marion County Public Health to the CDC and let them see what’s being done by the state with coalition funds.
