Some have called it an “off-night” for Pella High football. Some a moral victory for Knoxville. Others have pointed the blames at the referees. However you phrase it, Pella High still came out on top 28 – 0 over a Panther squad that has been playing better football this season. A lot of Pella High fans expected a game like the Oskaloosa contest a few weeks ago, where the outcome was decided in the first half, maybe even in the first quarter. Coach Jay McKinstrey says his guys need to learn from Friday night’s results and that the rest of their season could be a carbon copy of the Knoxville game. Pella has their biggest district game of the season up to this point this Friday night when they head to Carlisle, who is also undefeated in Class 3A District 7.
