A Knoxville man has more charges coming his way after assaulting a Marion County jailer while in custody.

51-year-old Henry Clay Saul has pled not guilty to multiple charges of assault on persons in certain occupations with intent to injure, a Class D felony, harassment, and interfering with official acts.

The charges stem from an incident at Knoxville Residential on September 3rd where Saul allegedly assaulted two staff members and two Knoxville Police officers, kicking one of them in the face. While in custody, Saul then allegedly assaulted a jailer on September 15th.

He’s expected to be in court today at 1:30pm for a pretrial conference on the original charges and a bond hearing on his latest alleged assault.
