PCM’s volleyball team broke through and found the win column more than once on Saturday in the Nevada tournament. The Mustangs started the day with a 13-21, 11-21 loss to Iowa Falls, and a 19 – 21, 22 – 20, 9 – 15 defeat at the hands of Ballard. The rest of the tournament went PCM’s way; Atlantic succumbed to the Mustangs 21 – 13 and 21 – 17, PCM then swept Newton 25 – 17 and 25 – 15, before rallying to defeat Ankeny Christian Academy in three, 19 – 25, 25 – 19 and 15 – 10. Courtney VanHouweling had 48 kills total for the five matches, and Mackenzie Clarke had 45 digs on the day. PCM’s record swells to 5 – 15 and they have a conference meet-up with C-M-B next on the docket this Tuesday.
