After whipping Maranatha Baptist the previous night, Central’s men’s and women’s soccer teams had a tougher time in a doubleheader against North Central Illinois on Saturday. The Dutch men fell 2 – 0, allowing a goal in the first and second halves. Austin Little made five saves in goal for Central, who drop to 1 – 4 on the year. Central’s women fell due to an 88′ goal from North Central, by a final score of 1 – 0. Coach Mike Kobylinski says his team was pretty sound defensively. Central’s women drop to 2 – 2 and they’ll play Grinnell at home on Thursday, while the men get some time off to prepare for Nebraska Wesleyan on the road on September 16.
