One woman is in custody after a brief police chase this weekend.

Thirty-five year old Maria Angela Meegan-Biggs faces charges of operation without owner’s consent and theft. After midnight on Saturday, Pella Police received a report of a stolen vehicle. At 2 a.m. the stolen car was spotted by the owner traveling near Knoxville, and that’s where the owner began to follow and called 911. Knoxville Police and the Marion County Sheriff’s office were dispatched, and police say that’s when the driver of the stolen vehicle attempted to flee. The car crashed at the corner of Highway 14 and 112th avenue, where police arrested Meegan-Biggs. She’s being held at Marion County Jail.
