Iowa’s Governor recently heard the recommendations of a team formed last winter to help pinpoint ways schools can improve their financial literacy education programs for students. Superintendent of Pella Schools Greg Ebeling feels the district has been proactive with their offerings, and says they’ve had a financial literacy program in place for years. He said that finances can create a lot of stress at all stages of adulthood, and he says having classes in place can help ease that potential burden. Last week, Governor Branstad and Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds announced the recommendations of the Financial Literacy Work Team formed in January.
