The 2014 cross country season started this weekend for Pella High runners at Cedar Rapids Prairie. The girls were sixth as a team overall and second in their division. Kelcey Blommers was fifth overall and finished first, with her teammate, Tess Roorda right behind her in sixth and second, respectively. Payton Phelps was fifth in their division. For the boys, the Little Dutch were fifth overall as a team and came in first place in their division. Pella was led by Adam Sievers and Ben Warner, who crossed the line in second and third place, respectively, in their division. Pella’s runners will next compete at their home invitational at Central College this Saturday.
