Getting the weekend off, the Pella Christian volleyball team gets back to the comforts of their own gym tonight to take on Newton in a conference match. The Eagles are 4 – 4 on the year and welcome the 2 – 8 Cardinals, who are hurting after losing an impressive group of seniors that led their team to a league title in 2013. Eagles’ coach, Cindy Nikkel knows her team has some potential to do some damage in the conference, but the rest of the teams are up in the air. The Eagles’ varsity match follows the JV game, with a first serve scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
