Pella Historical Society is gearing up for the annual Fall Festival.
The event features activities for all ages from Thursday September 25th through Saturday the 27th. Assistant Director at Pella Historical Alison Limke says they will have skilled artisans at work quilting, spinning, weaving, knitting, woodworking and making pottery, and says it’s a great opportunity for kids to learn about these fields. Members of the society get free admission, and entry costs $5 for non-member families and $2 for individuals.
There will be coffee, apple cider and baked goods are served all day in the Dutch Bakery. Savor a cup of cider and a Dutch pastry while listening to the antique street organ. Lunch served Saturday from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm or while the Vegetable soup, windmill bread and pie last.Tour the tallest working windmill in the United States, learn the ins and outs of operating an authentic Dutch Windmill. The Pella Garden Club Flower Show throughout the Wyatt Earp Home features all types of artistically arranged fresh and dried flowers.The Fall Flower Show is open to all flower arrangers and growers. Flower Show schedules are available at the Pella Historical Village office.
