The Knoxville City Council will hold a special work session today.

The council will discuss if they’ll help the Grand Theater Foundation with funds for a sprinkler system. At the September 22nd City Council meeting, Foundation President Dylan Morse requested assistance from the city after being told they’re required to install a new one.

The council will also decide if they will increase funding for the National Sprint Car Hall Of Fame and Museum’s “Expand The Dream” project. Executive Director Bob Baker made the request to help them with their Vision Iowa application.

The special work session will begin at 6:30pm at Knoxville City Hall and it is open to the public.
