Line painting will close the intersections around Knoxville Square Tuesday morning.

The streets in the area will be painted with divider lines and parking spaces. According to Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada and Knoxville City Manager Harold Stewart, all four intersections will be closed at the same time beginning at 6am, starting with Main and Second Streets. Robinson and Third will also be painted and the streets will be opened back up as soon as the paint is dry.

Stewart adds this doesn’t mean that Third Street will be opening up after the painting, but it is close to reopening.
