Pella Police arrested a suspicious man who attempted to flee from police early Monday morning. At approximately 3 a.m. Pella Police arrested 40 year old Wayne Ellsworth of Leighton. According to authorities officers responded to the 100 block of Main Street for a report of suspicious activity. Upon arrival, police say Ellsworth started to flee. When arrested, they discovered he was in possession of two large knives and property from a recently stolen vehicle in the same neighborhood. Ellsworth faces charges of carrying weapons and theft. He is currently at Marion County Jail on $3,000 bond.
