It’s rivalry week for Central College’s volleyball, football, and soccer teams as the Dutch will all be facing Simpson at some point. Tonight, volleyball and soccer will take the center stage against the Storm; volleyball at home and soccer hitting the road to Indianola. The soccer teams are playing for positioning in the Iowa Conference tournament, which starts this Saturday. If the women win, they’ll guarantee themselves no less than a number two seed and a first round bye, meaning they would not play until next Wednesday. Coach Mike Kobylinski says if his team goes out there and does their job, they should earn the win. On the men’s side, they would rise to a fifth seed with a win over the Storm, and Coach Garry Laidlaw says his team has had a playoff mentality over the last couple of weeks. The women play first at 5:00 p.m. with the men to follow at 7:30.
