Out of 27 teams, which included some Division I schools, the Central men’s cross country team placed fifth at the Jim Drews Invitational on Saturday in Wisconsin. Eli Horton finished fourth overall with a 24:40 time, Cole Decker was next for the Dutch at 25:18, good for 13th. Central finished only behind Wisconsin-LaCrosse and St. Olaf as far as Division III schools were concerned, with the University of Minnesota placing first overall. Central is off until the Iowa Conference meet on November 1, trying to win their third straight league crown.
