Using their momentum from a big win last week over Dubuque, Central’s women’s soccer team found the back of the net multiple times in a 6 – 0 destroying of Buena Vista Saturday. Five of their six goals were scored by seniors, on a day where both the men’s and women’s soccer team upperclassmen were recognized. Emily Saville scored a hat trick for the Dutch, Emily Benson and Brittany Hinton were the other two seniors who scored for Central. The women improve to 7 – 4 – 3 overall and 3 – 1 – 1 in the Iowa Conference. On the men’s side, Aleksandar Glavas did the work himself, scoring twice in the second half to lead his team to a 2 – 0 defeat of the Beavers. Central’s men are now 4 – 10 overall and 2 – 3 in the Iowa Conference. The women next play on Thursday on the road versus Cornell, while the men are back on the pitch on Tuesday to host William Penn.
