Late goals have become the most recent trend for the Central soccer teams, this time it was the women, and they did it with an 82′ strike from Abby Hillmer, which gave the Dutch a 3 – 2 win over Luther on Saturday. Brittany Hinton and Kalee Findlay had the other two goals for Central, who improves to 9 – 4 – 3 overall and an impressive 4 – 1 – 1 in the conference. Central’s men unfortunately did not fare as well as the women, getting shutout by the Norse, 3 – 0. Central’s men are now 5 – 11 overall and 2 – 4 in league play. Both Central squads have one last regular season conference game to go, on Tuesday against Simpson, before the Iowa Conference tournament next Saturday.
