As was anticipated before the season started, the Class 1A District 6 standings show Iowa City followed by everybody else. The Pella Christian football team finds themselves on top of “everybody else,” and they’ll look to put more distance between them and the rest of the pack with a home win over Columbus Junction tonight. The Eagles will be looking to stop Wildcats running back Maurico Ramirez, who has nearly 900 yards on the ground and 11 touchdowns through six games. Coach Rich Kacmarynski says his defense has steadily improved all season in stopping the run, and they will need to be ready to go tonight. Andrew Schneider and Larry Hessing will have the play-by-play for you on KNIAKRLS.com tonight. Pregame coverage will start at 6:30 p.m. with kick-off at seven. We will have a delayed broadcast of the game on 92.1 KRLS immediately following the Stravers Cellular Football Friday Night Radio Scoreboard Show.
