Multiple members of the Pella Fire Department responded to a trailer on fire at American Wood Fibers early this morning.

Pella Fire Chief Doug Van Gorkum tells KNIA/KRLS news that employees were unloading the trailer when some sparks found their way inside, and said when fire crews arrived a little after 1:30 a.m., there was a fire in the back portion of the trailer. He says they had to douse all of the contents inside of the trailer to ensure the fire was out, and the all clear was given at 3:30 a.m. Nobody was injured and Pella Ambulance, Pella Police, and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office all assisted at the scene.
