The 8th Annual KNIA-KRLS Breast Cancer Awareness Save-A-Life Radiothon is part of a month-long partnership between KNIA-KRLS, Knoxville Hospital and Clinics, and Pella Regional Health Center.

Marion County Public Health’s Carla Boat says it’s a great opportunity to speak with women about the importance of self-breast exams and making appointments with your doctor for your yearly mammogram.

KNIA-KRLS is broadcasting live during the event, speaking with breast cancer survivors and health care professionals. The Big Red Radio will be on hand for both days of the event, which will be today at Knoxville Hospital and Clinics from 5pm to 8pm and Thursday at Pella Regional Health Center from 4pm to 7pm.
