It was a happy Homecoming for Knoxville, who ended a three-game skid and get their first district victory of season with a 35-0 win over Saydel Friday night. The Panthers defense came to play as they held the Eagles to just three first downs for the entire game while forcing six punts on seven three-and-outs. Knoxville Head Coach Eric Kellar credits his assistant coaches for coming up with a successful game plan. Knoxville’s Austin Davis rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns while D.J. Snyder bulled his way to 106 yards on the ground. Knoxville improves to 2-4 on the season and will finish the home portion of their schedule next week against Chariton.
