The completion of another Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District, or SSMID Project was celebrated by the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Friday.

Kline’s Quick Time received a check from the SSMID committee to paint their roof awning. Owner Larry Kline was thankful for the funds to help improve the exterior of his building. SSMID is a voter-approved, self-imposed tax levy that has benefitted many downtown property owners.

This marks the third SSMID Project completed this year. Six other projects remain in progress.
