Several area towns will be participating in Beggar’s Night next week as part of the Halloween festivities.

Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada says some ways to keep kids safe while they trick or treat are to have them wear face paint instead of masks that could impede their vision, where bright colors so they can be easily seen by drivers, have children only go to homes where they know the person, and check all candy before it’s eaten.

Knoxville will hold their Beggar’s Night on Thursday, October 30th, from 6pm to 8pm. Bussey and Melcher-Dallas will also have their Beggar’s Night on the same night.
