Stranger Danger
Recent abduction attempts across the state have parents on high alert.

Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada says it’s important for parents to speak to their children about “Stranger Danger” and what they should do if they’re confronted by someone they don’t know or if someone tries to grab them.

Pella Police Chief Robert Bokinsky adds parents should tell the children to be assertive and follow the phrase “No, Go, Yell, Tell,” which encourages children to say no to a person trying to take them, go away from the area, yell to bring attention to themselves, and tell a responsible adult what happened.
