Ten touchdowns in 26 plays. That was the extent of the Pella High offense through two-plus quarters last night in a 69 – 14 demolishing of number-eight ranked Newton, a game that was live on 92.1 KRLS. The Little Dutch gained 526 yards overall, 424 of which came on the ground. Noah Clayberg threw for 102 yards and a touchdown, and ran for another 108 and a score, and Quinton Murphy and Nathan Henry each scored three times. Coach Jay McKinstrey says his team did indeed make a statement last night. Pella improves to 7 – 0 on the year, and they are back into district play next Friday night when they come home to face Saydel.
