The Pleasantville football team has incrementally gotten better over the last three years since Coach Gabe Bakker took over in 2012. They had three wins that season, improved to 4 – 5 last year, and in 2014, the Trojans made their first postseason appearance in nearly a decade and wound up 5 – 5 with a fourth place finish in their Class A district. Though it was disappointing to see their season come to an end, Coach Bakker says he was proud of his team but wants his younger guys that will be back next year to stay hungry. Pleasantville loses just eight seniors from their varsity squad.
