There is no doubt, that at least here at the local level, our high school athletic teams, whether it be football, basketball, baseball, or whatever, are greatly supported by the community. That point can be proven just by listening to one of our many broadcasts that we do live for various sports for our seven prep schools and Central College. For Pella Christian football, a program that is barely a decade old, building up a “fan base” takes some time, but assistant coach, Darryl DeRuiter, after the Eagles’ loss to Central Decatur, says the entire team is starting to notice some higher decibels on their side of the field. Pella Christian finished 6 – 4 on the year and return an important core group of younger players for 2015.
