Following a season in which they were the Class 1A District 6 runners-up, the Pella Christian football team landed nine players on the All-District list for their efforts on the gridiron. Three Eagles were on the first team All-District, including quarterback David Kacmarynski. The sophomore was second in the district in passing yards with 2,123 and in touchdowns with 17. He was also the leader in solo tackles with 83 and second in total tackles with 102. One of Kacmarynski’s targets, Levi Jungling, was also on the first team. Levi led the district with 58 catches for just over 1,000 yards receiving, and he also contributed over 400 yards on the ground. Carson Dugger was the other Eagle selected to the first team, with 469 receiving yards, sixth best in their district. Tyler DeBruin and Jake Diehl were each selected to the second team, along with kicker Jacob Brouwer, who was 31-of-36 in extra points and 3-of-5 in field goals with a long of 33 yards. Holden Hooyer, Matt Vermeer, and Eddie Pringle were each selected as honorable mentions. Five of these nine young men will be back for Pella Christian football in 2015.
