The Festival of Trees in Pella will open at the Pella Opera House today.
Director Kevin McQuade says that he enjoys the Festival of Trees because it is a tradition that helps the entire town and neighboring communities celebrate Christmas, and one that ushers in the holiday season. He says it is a fundraising event that supports their children’s programming throughout the year. The Festival of Trees will also include a special visit from Santa Claus on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m., immediately followed by a showing of the movie Miracle on 34th Street. The Festival of Trees will be open through the 29th.
