The Heart of Iowa Conference for boys’ basketball appears to be another tough league to win for the ten schools that will do battle with one another this season. To go along with key returners, there are a lot of fresh faces with just about every team in the conference, and PCM head coach, Fred Lorensen, says that several teams could challenge for a league title. South Hamilton is the team that edged out the Mustangs by just one game for the conference title in the 2013-14 season, and Lorensen adds that it is again the goal of his team to win the conference and be playing the best ball they can by the time the district tournaments begin in February. PCM begins their season on December 2 with a game against South Hamilton.
