January 24th seems like a long way off. But if you look at the calendar…it is less than two months away. While that day to most basketball teams is just another Saturday for a game or practice…it is a very special day for Knoxville, as that is when the Coaches vs. Cancer day is. Girls Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KNIA/KRLS Sports they already have a head start on fundraising. Last year the Coaches vs. Cancer night raised over $50,000. The day is January 24th and the Panthers will play Chariton in a girl/boy double header.
