While the Knoxville Volleyball Squad lost three seniors off of this season’s squad, several experienced players will return for 2015. Among them are Ashley Hawkshead, who moved from middle to outside hitter this season. Also, Haley DeMoss along with Emily Wallace and Haili Swan are coming back next year. Coach Chantell Downing tells KNIA/KRLS she is already excited to see what those sophomores and juniors will bring in next season. Downing says the move to outside hitter for Hawkshead worked as she had 53 more kills this season than last, she also raised her kill efficiency by 23 points, and raised her kills per set by nearly one from last year. She adds Wallace and Swan also improved throughout the season.
