For the sixth time in seven years, the Pella High football team can call themselves quarterfinalists in Class 3A, after their 56 – 14 beat down of Newton last night in a game heard live on 92.1 KRLS. After getting two plays for no gain to begin the contest, Noah Clayberg completed one of his five passes to Jackson Scholten into Newton territory, and it was all Pella from there. Coach Jay McKinstrey says it was probably the key play of the game. Clayberg ended with 145 yards on the ground and three rushing touchdowns plus another 168 through the air and a passing touchdown to lead the charge for the Little Dutch, who are now 11 – 0 on the season. Pella High will play Washington for the second time this season, and fourth time in the last two years, in a game that will be live on 92.1 KRLS and KNIAKRLS.com. The Jeromy Dingeman Concrete Football Friday Night Radio Preview Show will be live at Pella High Stadium with coverage starting at 5:00 p.m. and leading you up to pre-game coverage at 6:30.
