Wednesday’s snow slowed down many Thanksgiving travelers throughout the day, but the forecast improves this weekend.

Numerous car crashes were reported county wide on Wednesday evening due to refreezing on the roadways Wednesday night. According to the National Weather Service, more than 2.5″ fell in Pella and 1.3″ fell in Knoxville. Those who will be out and about on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday will see clear conditions and a significant warm up, with highs in the 40s on Friday into the 50s by Saturday.
