Having a very young team a year ago, the Pella Christian girls’ basketball team for the 2014-15 season will again be mostly underclassmen. Five seniors are on the Eagles’ current ten-player roster, highlighted by Tessa Howerzyl. A lot of young girls saw their first varsity playing time of their high school careers last year, and Coach Kevin Van Maanen is looking to see how much more these girls grow this season. The Eagles begin their season this Friday on the road against Van Meter, the team that knocked them out of the regional tournament earlier this year.
