The Pella City Council has approved a contract for a new Jordan Well.

The well is the first component of a $16 million long term water improvement plan for the City of Pella. City Administrator Mike Nardini says the council had previously tabled action on the $2.3 million dollar agreement with C.L. Carroll to wait for financial approval through an SRF Loan and official permits from the Iowa DNR. Nardini adds the city anticipates an additional delay from the original expected completion date of October 2015, but says they are unsure of the impact at this time.
