Showing some signs of development over their last three games, Pella Christian girls’ basketball coach, Kevin Van Maanen, says he feels his girls took a step back in their 59 – 39 loss to Pella High last Friday. The Eagles committed several turnovers, Hannah Beltman picked up two quick fouls early within the first minute of the first quarter and was not a factor for most of the game. Coach Van Maanen says the girls just need to get back to basics moving forward. The Eagles practiced earlier this week and will continue early next week, as well. They’re off from game-time action for another ten days before playing at Albia on January 5.
