A difficult first third of the schedule doesn’t get any easier tomorrow night for the Pella High girls’ basketball team. They’ve already taken on the likes of number-two Carlisle and number-six Ballard, but they now have a test with perhaps an “underrated” Grinnell team on Friday. The Tigers have a Division I recruit in Deja Jackson playing for them and some other young standouts, and Coach Jerod Garland says after Tuesday’s loss to the Bombers, he’d like to see his girls toughen up for Grinnell. Tomorrow night’s girls’/boys’ doubleheader in the Tulip City will be live on 92.1 KRLS with the tip-off scheduled for 6:15 p.m. Our coverage will start at six.
