The family and friends of a Sully girl who died of a rare blood disease are helping make sure her legacy lives on.

The 4th Annual Blood Drive in Memory of Megan Hoogeveen, a 2011 graduate of Pella Christian, will be held at Pella Christian High School on Tuesday, from 2:00 to 7:30 PM. Be The Match will also be present to register eligible donors to the Bone Marrow Registry. Megan’s father, Mike Hoogeveen says that they do the drive to not only help others that need blood, but to give back for all the assistance the receive. Appointments are strongly encouraged to avoid wait times and to help with the staffing of the event, but walk-ins are also welcome.
