The Marion County Board of Supervisors has given the go ahead to fund a pair of road construction projects.

The board approved a more than $230,000 dollar project for the replacement and installation of guardrails at various locations on county roads. They also approved the 2015 Residential Seal Coat Repair project for the subdivisions of Knoxville Estates and Dutchman’s Landing for just over $191,000 dollars.

Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian says some of the funds used for these projects will come from money previously set aside for equipment purchases that have been deemed unnecessary at this time.
